Chelsea join Creative Artists Agency

Chelsea Football Club has teamed up with the sports division of the world’s leading sports and entertainment agency CAA (Creative Artists Agency). CAA Sports will work on behalf of Chelsea FC in the areas of corporate partnership development, stadium development, athlete marketing, branding, touring, and Corporate Social Responsibility. Chelsea Chief Executive Peter Kenyon said: “Chelsea is delighted to be partnering with CAA Sports. As a club, our philosophy is to partner with market leaders and CAA is certainly that. It has unparalleled experience across a whole variety of areas that appeals to Chelsea. “Together we can build on Chelsea’s global business reputation, its unique position as the only soccer club in the centre of London, our talent, and our desire to be seen also as a force for good in our local community and around the world.” CAA has a stellar list of sporting and entertainment clients. CAA Sports represents more than 400 of the world's best athletes, coaches, on-air broadcasters, and sports personalities, including in the US the five most recent National Football League Most Valuable Players in American Football. CAA Sports entered into the soccer business in early 2007 when it helped orchestrate the landmark deal that brought David Beckham to the Los Angeles Galaxy, working with Beckham’s manager, Simon Fuller and has since sourced worldwide endorsement deals for the player. "Beyond their excellence on the field, Chelsea FC is renowned for its storied history, distinguished reputation, and passionate commitment to the community," said Howard Nuchow, co-head, CAA Sports. "We look forward to helping Chelsea FC build upon this tremendous legacy and widespread popularity to create new opportunities worldwide." The global appeal of Chelsea is one of the major factors in CAA partnering with the club. The Chelsea squad contains 23 national team players from 14 different nationalities and six current national team captains.
