Robinson joins Help for Heroes Rugby Match

Jason ‘Billy Whizz’ Robinson OBE is the latest legend to confirm his place in the Help for Heroes XV. The England, Sale Sharks and British & Irish Lions speedster has announced today that he is temporarily coming out of retirement to play in the Help for Heroes Challenge match on Saturday, September 20 at Twickenham Stadium. Kick off 2.30pm. Robinson who played 51 times for England and was part of the RWC 2003 winning squad said today “I got a call from the Help for Heroes XV manager, Phil de Glanville on Saturday and really how could I say no? “On the same day I heard the sad news about a soldier losing his life who lived near to me and it has made me even more determined to do all I can to help. “A lot of people talk about international and club players putting their bodies on the line but you can’t compare that with our soldiers and what they do on behalf of their country. “I’m really looking forward to Saturday and I would encourage as many people as possible to buy tickets and support a superb cause.” The Help for Heroes XV will feature Captain Lawrence Dallaglio, Martin Johnson, Dan Luger, Richard Hill, Mark Regan and Will Greenwood with an International XV led by Scott Gibbs including Jeremy Paul, Kenny Logan, Colin Charvis, Dave Hilton, Zak Feaunati and Jonah Lomu. All the money raised from the game will go directly to the Help for Heroes fund to support the rehabilitation of wounded service personnel who have served their country in Iraq and Afghanistan. Tickets for the Help for Heroes Challenge match are available from Ticketmaster by calling 0844 847 2492 or www.Ticketmaster.co.uk and are priced from £20 for adults and £10 for juniors. A family ticket for two adults and two juniors costs £50.00. Help for Heroes is supported by Investec, Lord Ashcroft and Nintendo.
