Seniors to converge on Royal Troon

Many of the iconic names in world golf will converge on Royal Troon Golf Club in Ayrshire, Scotland, from July 24-27 for The 2008 Senior Open Championship presented by MasterCard – and you, too, can be there to witness them at close quarters. Defending champion Tom Watson of America has fond memories of Royal Troon Golf Club, having triumphed there in 1982 to claim the third of his five Open Championship titles. Also included in this year’s Senior Open Championship field are two European Team Ryder Cup Captains, England’s Mark James and Ayrshire’s favourite son Sam Torrance, whilst the likes of Tom Kite, Mark O’Meara and 2006 champion Loren Roberts are expected to join Watson in leading the American challenge.
