Haye in Hot Water warns Calzaghe Senior

Top trainer Enzo Calzaghe has warned David Haye that his career will be over if he's taken 12 rounds by Enzo Maccarinelli. The pair meet on March 8 at London's O2 Arena on a show dubbed Bombs Away live on Setanta Sports in the UK and on Showtime in the US. The WBC, WBA and WBO cruiserweight titles will be on the line. Many expect the fight to be over early - but Calzaghe snr insists that he has prepared Maccarinelli for a 12 round war. And he says that if it goes the distance, then there will only be one winner - and Haye could be permanently finished. "If David Haye goes 12 rounds he will never fight again," Calzaghe told setantasports.com. "Anyone can get hit on the chin. You can't put a horseshoe on the chin to protect it so if Haye connects with Enzo he has a chance but he should worry about what will happen if he doesn't. "The way we train what people do in three minutes we do in one minute. Haye has never fought anyone like Enzo. "No one needs to tell me any strategy. Who'd have thought Gavin Rees would win a world title and at light welterweight? "If Haye goes 12 rounds it will be the end of his career."
